OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE

The following are the permanent governing and operating committees of the church. All committees receive their direction and are responsible to the session.

Stewardship and Finance (read more)
The Stewardship Committee is responsible for planning, creating, promoting, and running the program to encourage members to fulfillment through their time, talents, and treasures

Planning and Review (read more)
Planning and Review works on current and long term administrative and planning issues related to the Session.

Membership (read more)

The membership committee helps the Board of Deacons assimilate new members. It provides the visitors the opportunity to learn more about the Church, its programs, beliefs, and responsibility of membership. It offers visitors the ability to know the church before joining through an "Inquirer's Class".



Mission (read more)
We are a mission oriented congregation. In addition to giving money to mission projects, we offer hands-on opportunities. We participate both locally and internationally. We offer mission trips for both youths and adults. Members may volunteer or be invited to serve.

Session (read more)
The Session is responsible for the mission and government of the Church. It is made up of the Pastor and elders in active service. Elders are chosen by the people. It is the duty of elders to strengthen and nurture the faith and life of the congregation.

Deacons (read more)
The Board of Deacons are responsible for ministering to the congregation. Deacons are chosen by the people. They provide care and help to members; help new members get acclimated; and work to extend care and friendship to the community.


Worship (read more)
The Worship Committee works with the pastor to ensure scriptural guidance for worship, the heritage of the Presbyterian Church and the needs and particular circumstances of the congregation. Members are invited to serve by the Chair of the Committee, generally an elder.

Christian Education (read more)
Our mission is to provide opportunities for study of the Bible and Christian issues for all ages of our church family on Sunday morning and at other times of the week. Areas to serve in Christian Educational ministry include CE committee member, teacher, confirmation mentor, facilitator, behind-the-scenes assistant, nursery assistant, Vacation Bible School, Christmas Pageant, etc.

Property (read more)
The Property Committee is responsible for the care, repair, and maintenance of the Church building and its facilities. defines projects to be done, designates "work days" and organizes volunteers for work not required by professional contractors.
